Grant Information

Grants are usually based on financial need, do not need to be repaid, and are generally available from the federal government, state government or the college you are attending.

Grants are only available to undergraduate students working on their first bachelor's degree.

State Grants:

The State of Missouri offers grants to students who are Missouri Residents, and who are attending a college or university in the state. Additional information can be found at www.dhe.mo.gov.

Institutional Grants

Institutional Grants:

UMKC occasionally has grant funds to award to students who file a FAFSA and demonstrate financial need.

Freshman:   UMKC Advantage Grant - Aimed at making higher education a possibility, this grant is for full-time, Pell eligible, Missouri Residents. It ensures tuition is met for qualifying students. Some exclusions may apply.

Transfer:   UMKC Advantage Grant - Aimed at making higher education a possibility, this grant is for full-time, Pell eligible, Missouri Residents. Students must complete an Associate's Degree to be eligible. It ensures tuition is met for qualifying students. Some exclusions may apply.
